Well folks our 2014 Spring Training sessions are drawing to a close, but still a couple of chances left for training and to secure CEUs credits.

Training - Basic Math Seminars

There are three upcoming Basic Math Seminars in the Atlantic Provinces.
They are being sponsored by Atlantic Canada Water Works Association. (ACWWA)
Presenters are Accessible Water & Wastewater Solutions Ltd. (AWWS)

They are as follows;

The agenda is as follows; COURSE SUMMARY:

8:00 – 8:15 Registration, Introductions, Handouts, Preamble etc.
8:15 – 8:30 Solving Water & Wastewater Math Problems - Calculator Use
8:30 – 9:00 Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division
Converting Fractions Decimal Units, with examples. Questions
9:00 – 9:15 Actual Problem Solving Exercises (break off in teams of 4)
9:15 – 9:30 Rules for Solving Equations, with examples. Questions
9:30 – 10:00 Actual Problem Solving Exercises (break off in teams of 4)

10:00 – 10:15 Break – Coffee Tea & Juice Provided

10:15 – 10:30 Areas – Rectangle, Circle, Cylinder / Volumes - Rectangle – Cylinder
10:30 – 11:00 Calculations and actual problem solving (break off in teams of 4)
11:00 – 11:15 Review Correct Problem Answers as a Class
11:15 – 11:30 Percentages
11:30 – 11:50 Calculations and actual problem solving (break off in teams of 4)
11:50 – 12:00 Review correct answers as a class

12:00 – 12:30 Lunch Provided

12:30 – 12:45 General review of morning’s activities and discuss problem areas.
12:45 – 1:15 Flowrates
1:15 – 1:45 Calculations and actual problem solving (break off in teams of 4)
1:45 – 2:00 Review correct answers as a class
2:00 – 2:30 Chemical dosage calculations
2:30 – 3:00 Calculations and actual problem solving (break off in teams of 4)
3:00 – 3:15 Review correct answers as a class

3:15 – 3:30 Break – Coffee Tea & Juice Provided

3:30 – 4:00 Actual Problem Solving (break off in teams of 4)
4:00 – 4:15 group review of all material
4:15 – 4:30 Questions, discussions & presentation of certificates.
